I used to visit Orlando several times a year... I've almost always stayed in the Boardwalk Area. I hadn't visited Disney World in 10 or 11 years. For my wife's 40th Birthday, I went back. We were there from January 12-18, 2015. I'm not sure if Hurricane Hanna's was there before... If it was. I wish I had visited them before. We stopped there for lunch, one day. I loved it! I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich.... I didn't eat the bread. However, the pulled pork was awesome! The Cole slaw had apples in it, which gave me an idea! The only recommendation I can make is, "Get rid of the Seagulls!" As I was relaxing, at our table, a seagull stole my food, out of my hand. The employees that were just standing around, should have chased those Seagulls away! I wish I could've had more meals there

The food is definitely pricey but pretty good overall. The counter workers try hard to get the food out fast. It's a good choice for poolside food. The pool is so great we never want to leave in order to eat! The alcoholic drinks are fair at best. I ordered 2 frozen pina coladas and found out later they were virgin and she charged me for the alcohol version. (Had I tasted mine at the bar she never would have gotten a tip!) She seemed lazy and acted as if I was interrupting her, to wait on me. I do believe the overall service at Disney has slipped since our last visit. Let's hope they kick it up a notch.

If you're hanging out by the Yacht and Beach Club pool, this is one of your options to grab food/drinks from. The servers around the pool aren't speedy so don't expect to get something right away! I ordered a mojito and hanna's bacon burger. I wasn't really happy with the mojito, the mint wasn't crushed, it seemed it more of an after thought and tasted cheap. The burger on the other hand was juicy and tasty. I was sharing it with the fiance and they were nice enough to slice it in half for us.

Hurricane Hanna's Grill is close to the walkway from EPCOT to MGM, along the Beach Club and Yacht Club on one side of the bay, and the Board Walk on the other side of the Bay, the Dolphin and Swan are at the far end of the Bay.. Great place for a quick drink! I would highly recommend the mango margarita, which was really good, cost was $8., smooth and creamy, ice cold, and went down easy!

As far as poolside bars go, this place is pretty great. The wait is a bit long, especially on a nice day, but the food is solid. The view of the pool and lake makes for a relaxing afternoon plus you can order alcohol here. WE tried the grilled chicken sandwich which is a notch above your average sandwich with fresh avocado. The shrimp, lobster and scallop "roll" is a very fresh and tasty sandwich. The fries are served hot and must be pretty good because beware of swooping birds. They will grab the food out of your hand.

Normally these places by the pool at Disney resorts turn out pretty fair to adequate fare, but HHG seems to step it up. First, a big thank you Disney Resorts for non high fructose corn syrup Ketchup!!! Showing some concern for your guests is always appreciated. Second, the seafood roll (lobster plus shrimp and scallops) wasn't very traditional, but its ceviche-like tang was a welcome twist from the New England classic, and worked better with the mix of ingredients, which included a little hearts of palm for a much-enjoyed crunch.

The Good: - near the glorious pool - can take your food to ANY of the seating around the pool, even just the regular beach chairs - electronic buzzer things that tell you when your food is ready The Meh: - expensive, as is everything Disney - separate lines for adult drinks vs regular food The Bad: - not enough seating, even off-season on a crummier day - slow lines - not the nicest of Disney staff FYI: - outdoor seating ONLY

Pricy burgers as you would expect but very convenient pool side food. Not sure why I remember this but adult burger patty is 5.3 ounces and kid burger patty was 2.5 ounces. I was probably doing price calculation to get max meat for my dollar. With the adult burger meal, you can sub slaw for french fries. The slaw is vinegar based, not mayo based. The kids meal was cute with a small burger, you can sub fruit or raw veggies for french fries, a drink and shovel and pale. Burgers were actually tasty. Service was quick and to order.

Hurricane Hanna's (affectionately referred to as Hurricane Rita's by some) is a small quick service restaurant located alongside the Stormalong Bay pool area, right next to the lagoon. The counter is actually split into two: One side offers all the usual quick service grill items you'd expect like burgers, fries, and chicken fingers for the kids. The other side is a full bar serving up Disney's signature cocktails like pina colavas as well as the traditional fare such as beer, long islands, etc. While touring the Boardwalk loop, this is a must stop. The people-watching is great, because everyone loves Stormalong Bay (by far the best pool experience on Disney World property). And even though you're a bit removed from the Boardwalk side of things, you get great views of the area, and you can still feel the excitement.

Good place for a quick bite. We ate a couple meals here during our stay. Dinner choices are pretty good and if you are on the meal plan - the quick meal is a lot of food! I did not like the veggie wrap, not a great taste. I got the turkey sandwich on the day we left cause we had an extra couple meals to burn on our meal plan. It was delicious - similar to the chicken pesto at corner bakery.Unfortunately i think the mayo etc used could not take not being eaten immediately. Luckily the food stayed put till after our flight home and i was comfortably in my jammies. You get the idea of the outcome, i'm sure! So enjoy the food, but make sure to eat it right then and don't save it for later!

I struggle to remember slower service that I've ever had ANYWHERE in my entire life. They said that part of the problem was that the poolside servers were coming in with additional orders beyond those they were taking from people who waited in line to get to the counter. And ... sooo?? Is that somehow a surprise to them? Is that not EXACTLY how they built their business model to work every single day? Maybe they just need to triple the size of the kitchen and the kitchen staff. It looked very cramped in there and the kitchen staff looked like it was going full-bore ... but was just hopelessly behind the customer volume. When I came up to the line, I was maybe 12 people deep. To order chicken nuggets kids meals. And it took over an hour. I'm not exaggerating. Over an hour, standing on line for counter service. Pathetic. Disney fixed the crazy wait times for the Dumbo ride at the Magic Kingdom by putting in an adjoining matching second Dumbo ride. They need to take that same approach here. The food actually wasn't horrid (I had a grilled chicken breast sandwich and my wife had the lobster roll). But nearly 75 minutes of standing around waiting for it? Never again.

Bit expensive at 8.50 per drink but what can you expect at a Disney Resort?
